Top Purple Tips


Follow the simple steps instructions below to create your own customised card


Creating your Ronnie

Click on Purple Ronnie and a menu will appear that allows you to customise yours…

Click the cross at the top left of the big purple speech bubble if you want to close it.

Sex ? - Choose “Boy” or “Girl” and the clothing options on the left will change

Clothes - Click on a dress or a T-Shirt to add clothes to your Ronnie. The left & right arrows allow you to scroll through the wardrobe. Click on the colour bars.Choose the primary and secondary colours for your outfit.

Hair - Use the tabs in the bottom menu to add more clothes, choose a hair style and add accessories. Use the colour bar to change your Ronnie’s hair colour.

Body - Use the menu on the right to change the arm length, leg length and hair length. You can also make your Ronnie fatter or thinner.

Naming - Add a name (e.g. “Purple Dave”) by editing the copy in the white speech bubble.

Save - Finally save your Ronnie by clicking “save” in the top right.


Explore

Purple Ronnie is full of cool images to create cards and messages. Find one you like, click on Create- a-card” (top right) and customise you scene.

More tips for exploring Purple Ronnie

Scene jumping - Jump from scene to scene using the menu bar along the bottom. Your Ronnie will come running into view. Click the scene and drag to the right or left to explore – objects animate and sounds appear at random!. Click on objects in Purple Ronnie’s house to find out more!


Create-A-Card

Once you’ve chosen a background click “Create- A- Card” to get started. You’re now in the Scene Builder (you won’t be able to move around the world while making your scene). Use the menu on the right to add props, poems and more Ronnies to your background.


Add Props & Poems

Props - Choose from the 5 tabs at the bottom of the prop menu to change category. Use the red arrows to scroll through the various props.

TOP TIP – click and drag the prop menu and you can move it off to the side of your screen so that it doesn’t get in the way.

Add a prop to your scene - just click on it and it will appear in your scene (you can add as many as you want). Click your prop then you can drag it and position it anywhere.

TOP TIP - Double click on your prop and you’ll be able to do all sorts of tricks. Use the arrow on the top right of your prop to rotate it. Use the arrows in the other corners to resize it. You can also bring props forward or put them behind other props and even flip reverse your prop.

To delete a prop, just click on the bin icon (bottom right). PoemsSelect “add a poem” from the menu at the top right of the screen, this will bring up the poem selector menu. If this menu disappears, click on Purple Ronnie on his cloud and it will return.

Choose a category from the drop down list. Find a poem that you like.

TOP TIP - you can then edit the copy in your poem and change it to say whatever you want! Click the green plus sign on the right of the menu to add the poem to your scene. Click once on your poem to drag and position it. Double click on your poem to resize and rotate it. To delete a poem just click on the bin icon.


More Ronnies?

Select “Add a Ronnie” from the menu at the top right of the screen, this will bring up the Ronnie selector menu.
any Ronnies you’ve built before (my Ronnies), Ronnie’s Ronnies (official Purple Ronnie versions) and Random Ronnies (these are ones created by other users). Scroll through them using the red arrows and click on the Ronnie to add to your scene. Click the “x” at the right of the menu panel to close it.


Animated

Your Ronnies can do all sorts of good stuff – dance, cheer, wave, drink, fart !. Click on your Ronnie and bubbles pop up. Select “actions” to launch a new menu. Select the “edit” and you can make more changes to Ronnie’s clothes and appearance.
Choose an Action from the drop down list.
In theSay something here” box, write whatever you want your Ronnie to say in the speech bubble. Click “done” to finish


Send

Once your creation is complete, click “send card” from the menu on the top right. If you’ve used the site before and already registered your email address with us you should be recognised automatically. If not you will need to create a simple username and password.
Follow the instructions to send your scene to a friend. They’ll receive an email with a link - clicking on this link will reveal your amazing creation.
